Greetings! I'm glad you have taken the time to stop by and learn more about me. I grew up in the Mansfield area and graduated from Ontario High School in 1999. My father - Doyle Peyton - pastors Westwood Alliance Church.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 with my BA in Political Science, then went on to complete my MA in Theological Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 2006. Most recently, I completed my M.Ed. at The Ohio State University.
I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to educate students at Mansfield Christian School. One of the primary reasons I chose to pursue my seminary degree amid my secular degrees was because of the tremendous respect I have for Dr. R. Albert Mohler - president of Southern Seminary. His ability to respond authoritatively to pressing issues of the day from a strong biblical worldview continues to inspire me. It is my genuine desire to share this passion with my students, and to help them develop this skill so that they may truly fulfill the "great and first commandment" - to "love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)
Know that my "virtual door" is always open for comments, questions, or concerns. Parents and students alike are welcome to contact me using the little mail icon, or through the Contact form - they both end up at the same place. It is my hope that this website facilitates greater transparency into my classroom, and provides a convenient resource for handouts and assignment instructions - including those times where one's dog develops a taste for the original copy.
